Hundai is preparing to develop the Ioniq 5 electric SUV, which is now only available in India, in international markets. According to the WLTP cycle, the Hundai Ioniq 5 model will be available with both an old 58 kWh battery and a new 77.4 KWh lithium ion battery, which offers an extended range of up to 507 kilometers per charge. Compared to the previous 72.6 kWh battery pack, the power output will increase by about 11 to 320 horses. The previous model Ioniq 5 was advertised as having a range of 451 to 430 miles with a single charge.
The Hyundai Ioniq 5 is the first model to be built at E-GMP, the first dedicated BEV platform for Korean car manufacturer (Electrical Global Modular Platform). Ioniq 5 was released in February 2021. It is currently offered in 2WD and AWD versions in the global market. The rear-mounted electric motor produces 217 power and 350 Nm of torque in the 2WD version. On the other hand, the AWD model has two electric motors, one for each axle. It has 305 horsepower and 605 Nm of torque.

Earlier, Hyundai announced that the Inoiq 5 EV would be available in India in 2022. This is part of the company’s plan to extend the battery-powered car manufacturer to the country. The Hyundai Ioniq 5 could be the second electric car in the company in India. after the Kona EV, which is already in operation.
